Hendricks Paralyzes At Shootout Practice
Matt "The Paralyzer" Hendricks has been known in previous seasons to cause goalies to freeze up and make bad decisions during critical shootout opportunities. On day 2 of Capitals training camp, he wasted no time starting up the fake-shot-deke-to-weak-side-goalie known as The Paralyzer. His most notable use of the move happened against Tim Thomas in late March sending ol Timmy into a tizzy on-ice, with him tripping over something while heading into the tunnel all angry. Hendricks is 7 out of 11 on shootouts in his career.
Currently Hendricks leads the team in shootout goals with five. Two goals were scored at home and three away (100% road shooting percentage) as Capital.
