Ovechkin and Maria Kirilenko Get Engaged

ovikirilenko

We all saw this happening, with a false alarm happening earlier this year when Maria was spotted with a ring on the traditional American ring finger. Well, looks like the news is real. Ovechkin and Kirilenko are engaged. To add to the fact today is Black Monday in the sports community, this news only makes those that were eyeing Ovi's love mega depressed. News first broke over on Twitter with IMG president, David Abrutyn@davidabrutyn Congratulations to @ovi8 and @mkirilenko on their engagement!! — david abrutyn (@davidabrutyn) December 31, 2012 Then Ovi posted this photo up on Twitter Then this tweet! Photo Dec 21, 12 41 22 PM

Kettler Iceplex was the scene of a rare sight Friday morning. Capitals players John Carlson, Jay Beagle, Jason Chimera, Brooks Laich, ex-Cap Jeff Halpern and retired Capital Peter Bondra took to the ice for a pickup game with a few college players (including both George McPhee's son, Graham McPhee,  and Peter Bondra's son) from NVCC, Michigan State, Princeton and the University of Connecticut, to name a few. After the scrimmage, a few players worked on shooting drills and then gathered in the Kettler lobby to sign autographs and talk to fans. Jason Chimera spoke with...
