Ovechkin and Maria Kirilenko Get Engaged

We all saw this happening, with a false alarm happening earlier this year when Maria was spotted with a ring on the traditional American ring finger. Well, looks like the news is real. Ovechkin and Kirilenko are engaged. To add to the fact today is Black Monday in the sports community, this news only makes those that were eyeing Ovi's love mega depressed. Arguably one of the most coveted UFAs on the market, former New Jersey Devil forward Zach Parise kept us waiting only three days before announcing his decision to sign with the Minnesota Wild, along with defenseman Ryan Suter on July 4. Both players will be making $98 million over 13 years, averaging $7.53 million per year. Not a bad pay raise. I’m sure that extra cash will help buy some hefty winter coats for those bitter cold Minnesota winters. Have fun, boys.
