Verizon Center Set to Build Ice Starting January 9

With the lockout comes fresh new ice to get hacked up by monster truck shows, sub par bands, equestrian events and more importantly the circus. In a official press release by the Capitals, construction of the ice is set to happen Wednesday, January 9th. WOOOO!

ARLINGTON, Va. – The Washington Capitals and Verizon Center will begin to build the ice surface at Verizon Center on Wednesday, Jan. 9, at 9 a.m. for the 2012-13 season, with the placement of logos and markings at approximately 3 p.m., the team announced today.

A time lapse of the complete process will be available upon completion of the installation.
