A question has been answered in the re-signing of defenseman John Carlson to a 6 year $23.8 million deal that fans wondered would happen or not this offseason. With rumors flying around that he may sign elsewhere, this has put the anxiety to rest. Your favorite Hadeed Carpet commercial spokesman (next to Boudreau) extended his contract today with the Washington Capitals in what will be an extended contract for the defenseman. Per the Capitals press release, Carlson will earn $3.8 million in 2012-13 and $4 million per year from the 2013-14 season through 2017-18. Carlson has been busy in the offseason between representing the Capitals style department to providing Olympic commentary over on Twitter.
